Saud Qasmi

Biography

Saud Qasmi, popularly known as Saud, was born in Karachi, Pakistan, into a prominent religious and artistic family. He is the grandson of the renowned Islamic scholar Maulana Ehtesham-ul-Haq Thanvi, who gave him a strong cultural and traditional upbringing. Despite his family’s scholarly background, Saud developed an early fascination with the performing arts, eventually pursuing a career in acting and production.

Entry Into Films
Saud made his film debut in the early 1990s and quickly emerged as one of Lollywood’s most promising young actors. His good looks, expressive acting style, and strong screen presence helped him secure leading roles in both Urdu and Punjabi films. He soon became one of the most sought-after romantic heroes of his time.

Career Highlights
Throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, Saud starred in several successful films, often cast in romantic and dramatic roles. His performances in films such as Hawain, Yeh Dil Aap Ka Huwa, and various Punjabi action-dramas earned him widespread recognition. His ability to adapt to diverse characters—from soft-spoken lovers to intense action roles—made him a versatile figure in the industry.

In addition to acting, Saud also stepped into film production. Along with his wife, actress Javeria Saud, he co-founded JJS Productions, producing a variety of television dramas and entertainment programs. Their production house became known for family-oriented content and popular sitcoms.

Television Career
As the Pakistani film industry experienced a downturn, Saud successfully transitioned to television. He appeared in various dramas and also developed a strong presence as a host and producer. His adaptability helped him remain relevant during an era when many film actors struggled to find their footing.

Personal Life
Saud is married to the well-known actress and producer Javeria Saud. The couple has two children and has often been involved in joint media projects. Their professional partnership and public appearances have made them one of the well-recognized celebrity families in Pakistan.
