Biography

Saurav Mohapatra is a talented Indian writer and filmmaker, known for his work in both the literary and cinematic worlds. Born in 1978 in Khurda, India, he has made significant contributions to various creative fields.   

Early Life and Education:

Mohapatra's journey began at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, where he laid the foundation for his future endeavors. After completing his studies, he moved to the United States in 2000.   

Career in Comics and Graphic Novels:

Mohapatra gained recognition for his work in the comic book industry. His notable contributions include:   

Mumbai Confidential: A crime-noir comic book series co-created with Vivek Goel, which has been adapted into a film.   

Devi: A comic book series that explores Hindu mythology.

The Sadhu: The Silent Ones: A comic book series based on the life of a mysterious guru.   

Moon Mountain: A graphic novel adaptation of Bibhutibhushan Bandyopadhyay's classic novel, "Chander Pahar."   

Sholay: Gabbar: An authorized prequel graphic novel to the iconic Hindi film "Sholay."   

Transition to Screenwriting and Filmmaking:
