Biography
Sean Berdy, born 3 June 1993 in Boca Raton, Florida, is an American actor, writer, director, and comedian. He began performing at a young age and developed an interest in magic, winning a top award for young magicians at the World Children's Magicians Festival in Russia.
Berdy made his acting debut in The Sandlot 2 (2005) as Sammy “Fingers” Samuelson. He later appeared in The Bondage, The Legend of the Mountain Man, and The Deaf Family.
His breakthrough came with the ABC Family series Switched at Birth (2011–2017), where he played Emmett Bledsoe, a deaf teenager and close friend of Daphne. His performance earned him a Teen Choice Award nomination for TV Breakout Star in 2011.
Berdy later starred as Sam Eliot in Netflix's mystery drama The Society (2019). He has also promoted American Sign Language (ASL) through performances, music videos, and public speaking, making him an important presence in Deaf representation on screen.
