Sertaç Özgümüs
Biography
Sertaç Özgümüş was born in 1981 in Istanbul, Turkey, and is a Turkish composer, musician, and arranger. Coming from a family of musicians, he developed an interest in music at an early age and later completed his music education at Yıldız Technical University’s Faculty of Art and Design.
In 2006, Özgümüş co-founded the band Multitap with three friends and recorded three studio albums with the group. He also performed at numerous festivals and worked with various artists as a musician and arranger. In 2010, he began composing music for films, television series, and commercials.
Özgümüş is particularly known for composing the music for Persona (2018), The Gift (Atiye, 2019), and Kral Kaybederse (2025). His other notable projects include The Yard, Respect, The Teacher, Uysallar, The Turkish Detective, Erşan Kuneri, Do Not Disturb, and Last Call for Istanbul.
Through his work across television, film, and music, Özgümüş has become a recognized composer in the Turkish entertainment industry, creating atmospheric and emotionally driven scores for a wide range of productions.
