Early Life and Background
Shaan Rahman was born on December 30, 1979, in Thalassery, Kerala. From a young age, he showed a deep interest in music and was influenced by the diverse sounds of Kerala’s cultural heritage. Encouraged by his family, he began exploring composition and singing during his school and college days, laying the foundation for his future in the music industry.

Career Beginnings
Shaan started his career composing music for independent albums and short films. His breakthrough came when he collaborated with filmmaker Vineeth Sreenivasan on the popular music album Coffee @ MG Road. The partnership proved to be creatively fruitful and led to his debut as a film composer with the Malayalam movie Malarvaadi Arts Club (2010), directed by Vineeth.
