Biography and Early Career:
Shabeer's journey into acting wasn't immediate. He initially had aspirations of becoming a cricketer and even held part-time jobs during his college years. His first uncredited appearance was in Mani Ratnam's 2004 film Aayutha Ezhuthu. This initial exposure sparked his interest in acting, leading him to pursue theatre. He trained with a theatre troupe and took classes in gymnastics, fight choreography, and dance to hone his skills.
His formal debut as a lead actor came in 2014 with Lakshmy Ramakrishnan's Nerungi Vaa Muthamidathe. He also played the protagonist in the 2016 psychological thriller 54321. While these early films didn't bring him widespread recognition, Shabeer continued to work diligently, taking on supporting roles in films like Adanga Maru (2018) and Karthik Subbaraj's Petta (2019), where he shared screen space with prominent actors like Rajinikanth, Vijay Sethupathi, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

Shabeer's breakthrough role came in 2021 with Pa. Ranjith's critically acclaimed Tamil boxing drama Sarpatta Parambarai. His portrayal of "Dancing Rose," a flamboyant and skilled boxer, captivated audiences and critics alike, earning him significant fame and making him a social media sensation. His unique blend of boxing prowess and expressive movements became a highlight of the film.
Following Sarpatta Parambarai, Shabeer's career trajectory saw a significant upswing. He made his Malayalam debut with King of Kotha (2023), where he played an antagonistic role.
