Shakti Mohan

Biography

Shakti Mohan was born on October 12, 1985, in Delhi, India. She grew up in a family of four sisters, all of whom are creatively inclined — including singer Neeti Mohan and dancer Mukti Mohan. Initially aspiring to become an IAS officer, Shakti’s journey took a turn when she developed a deep passion for dance. She later moved to Mumbai to train professionally and graduated from the Terence Lewis Dance Foundation Scholarship Trust.

 

 

Rise to Fame

Shakti Mohan gained nationwide fame after winning the second season of the reality dance show Dance India Dance in 2010. Her grace, technique, and versatility made her one of the most admired dancers in the country. Her success on the show marked the beginning of an illustrious career in dance and choreography.

 

 

Career in Dance & Television

Following her win, Shakti became a mentor and judge on several reality shows, including Dance Plus, where she guided young dancers with her expertise and creative vision. She has also participated in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and Nachle Ve with Saroj Khan.
