Sharaf U Dheen
Biography
A man indeed risen from the ashes like a phoenix, Sharafudheen came into the Malayalam film industry without a godfather and has proven himself with each of his movies. Little did he know that a cameo in the Neram might actually become a successful career.
Despite his comfortable forte of comedy roles, he dived into playing grey-shade characters in movies like Varathan (2019) and Anjam Pathira (2020).
Born in a middle-class family to a railway employee M. Kunjumon and a homemaker Nabeesa PK, Sharafudheen had dreams of acting and becoming an artist even while playing around with his two other siblings.
He grew up discussing movies with friends like Alphonse Puthren, Nivin Pauly, Krishnakumar, and Siju Wilson, among others. Even after starting a travel agency, he never let his dream fade away.
Although his love for traveling made him take the path of owning a travel agency, Sharafudheen also focused on his ambition and passionately worked towards his goal. After his debut in Neram (2013), he went straight to Om Shanthi Oshana (2014) and Homely Meals (2004).
After playing a prominent role in the Alphonse Puthren-directed movie Premam (2015), he was offered Pavada (2016) and Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumpol (2017). His 2016 releases include Welcome to Central Jail and Happy Wedding while his 2017 releases include Goergettan`s Pooram, Role Models, and Njandukalude Nattil Oridavela.
He then featured in movies like Carbon (2018), Aadhi (2018), Thobama (2018), Varathan (2018), Johny Johny yes Appa (2018) Pretham 2 (2018), Happy Sardar (2019) and Neeyum Njanu (2019).
His other notable works include Children`s Park (2020), Virus (2020), Anjaam Pathiraa (2020), Halal Love Story (2020), Kuttavum Shikshayum (2021), Pathrosinte Padappukal (2021), Priyan Ottathilaanu (2021) and Djinn (2021).
