Biography

Sharmiela Mandre (born 28 October 1987) is an Indian actress and film producer known for her work predominantly in the Kannada film industry, along with notable appearances in Tamil and Telugu cinema. She made her acting debut with the Kannada film Sajni (2006), followed by a breakthrough the same year with the successful film Krishna, which established her as a promising young actress.

 

 

After her initial success, Sharmiela continued to impress audiences and critics with her performances in films such as Venkata in Sankata (2009) and Swayamvara (2010). She expanded her presence across South Indian cinema by making her Tamil debut in Mirattal (2012) and her Telugu debut in Kevvu Keka (2013), for which she earned a nomination for the SIIMA Award for Best Female Debut – Telugu.

 

 

In addition to acting, Sharmiela Mandre ventured into film production with the Tamil adult comedy Evanukku Engeyo Matcham Irukku (2018), marking a new phase in her career. Over the years, she has been part of several acclaimed and diverse projects, including the psychological thriller Aake (2017), the popular ensemble film Gaalipata 2 (2022), and the 2024 release Powder.
