Sharrath Marar
Biography
Sharat Marar is known for The Ghost (2022), Katamarayudu (2017), and Sardaar Gabbar Singh (2016).
Sharrath Marar was born and brought up in Hyderabad, Telangana. He did his schooling at St Paul's High School and graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Osmania University, Hyderabad. He also pursued an MBA (Finance) and a course at the Institute of Cost Accountants of India. During his education, Marar used to work as a dubbing artist on television, which prompted him to take up a career in any creative field.
He chose media and went on to collaborate with the popular filmmaker Puri Jagannadh during his initial days. He also produced television serials for around three years. Marar then received an opportunity to head the office of Amitabh Bachchan Corporation Limited (ABCL) in Hyderabad, where he worked for two years.
After his stint at ABCL, Sharrath Marar worked with many TV production houses for some time, after which he joined as an executive producer for the Telugu film Johnny (2003). Then, after venturing into brand promotion & advertising and gaining immense recognition in the field, Marar established his own production company named 'Northstar Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. ' and he made his debut as a producer in the film industry, with the Telugu film Gopala Gopala (2015). Sharrath Marar also served as the CEO and Director of the MAA TV channel.
