Shashilal K. Nair is an Indian film director and producer known for his impactful contributions to Bollywood cinema. He began his career as an assistant director to K. Viswanath, working on notable films such as "Shankarbharanam," "Sargam," and "Kaam Chor."

 

 

Nair made his directorial debut in 1985 with "Bahu Ki Awaaz," a film that addressed the pressing issue of bride burning and dowry practices in India. The Directorate of Film Festivals described it as a "strong comment on bride burning and dowry."
