Shefali Shah
Biography
Born in Mumbai, India, Shefali Shah rose to prominence after starring as Bhiku Mhatre`s wife in the Indian crime thriller Satya (1998). She received several accolades for her portrayal, including a Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress and a Best Supporting Actress nomination at the 44th Filmfare Awards.
She then appeared in movies like Monsoon Wedding (2001), Waqt: The Race Against Time (2005), 15 Park Avenue (2005), and Gandhi, My Father (2007). In 2007, Shah won the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress for Rituparno Ghosh`s drama film The Last Lear.
She further starred in acclaimed films like Black and White (2008), Lakshmi (2014), and Dil Dhadakne Do (2015). In 2016, Shah voiced Raksha in the fantasy adventure film The Jungle Book.
Her 2017 release includes the Hindi action film Commando 2, which stars Vidyut Jamwal, and Adah Sharma in the lead. Her 2021 release includes Ajeeb Dastaans. Her 2022 releases include Jalsa, Darlings, and Doctor G. She also featured in web series like Human and Delhi Crime Season 2.
