Career in Television
Shekhar gained widespread popularity with his debut television show “Wah! Janaab” (1984). However, it was the sitcom “Dekh Bhai Dekh” (1993) that made him a household name. His role as Sameer Diwan in the show remains one of his most memorable performances.
He went on to appear in several successful television shows such as “Reporter,” “Chote Babu,” “Kabhi Idhar Kabhi Udhar,” and “Movers & Shakers.” The latter, a celebrity talk show filled with humor and satire, showcased his exceptional hosting and comic timing, earning him immense acclaim.
