Shine Tom Chacko

Biography

Shine Tom Chacko is an Indian actor predominantly working in Malayalam cinema. He is also a former assistant director. After working as an assistant director for nine years, he began his career in acting.

Chacko pursued his B.Com degree from St. Thomas College, Thrissur.

He started his career in the entertainment industry as an assistant director to Kamal in the 2000s. He first appeared in front of the camera in Kamal's comedy-drama film Nammal (2002).

 

 However, he debuted with the film Khaddama (2011). He went on to act in minor roles in films like Ee Adutha Kaalath (2012) and Annayum Rasoolum (2013).

However, his first breakthrough was with the fantasy comedy film Ithihasa (2014). The film was the highest-grossing Malayalam film in 2014.

In 2016, he played the antagonist in the film Kammatti Paadam (2016). In the same year, he played the notable role of Suku in the film Annmariya Kalippilanu (2016).

In 2017, he acted in several films, including Godha (2017), Tiyaan (2017), Varnyathil Aashanka (2017), Parava (2017), and.

In 2018, he played the protagonist in the first Malayalam time travel film Who (2018).

He played the role of the main villain Ishq (2019) in 2019. His role as Alwin received praise from The Hindu. He won Best Actor in a Negative Role (Malayalam) for this film at the SIIMA Awards 2019. The same year, Chacko acted in the movie Unda (2019).

He acted in the movies Bhoomiyile Manohara Swakaryam (2020) and link=tt11060730] in 2020. In 2021, he played the role of a police officer in the films Operation Java (2021) and Wolf (2021).

In 2022, he appeared in the films Veyil (2022), Bheeshma Parvam (2022), and Pada (2022). He also ventured into the Tamil film industry with the action film Beast (2022) in 2022.
