Shyam Prasad Reddy began his career as a producer and became known for backing technically ambitious Telugu films. He gained major recognition with Ammoru (1995), a fantasy horror film directed by Kodi Ramakrishna. The film was noted for its visual effects and supernatural storyline and became a significant success.
He later produced Arundhati (2009), also directed by Kodi Ramakrishna. Starring Anushka Shetty in the title role, the supernatural horror film revolves around a woman who discovers her connection to her great-grandmother Jejamma and becomes involved in a battle against a powerful black magician. The film was widely praised for its visual effects, production values, and Anushka's performance.
