Siddharth Anand Kumar
Biography
Siddharth was born in New Delhi, India. He was active in the amateur theatrical group TAG in Delhi from an early age playing various roles in English plays. He turned to filmmaking as a career of a desire to further explore the art of telling stories.
He studied filmmaking at Hampshire College in Massachusetts and got his first job as an AD to Mira Nair during the making of Kamasutra (1995). He was recruited to play a small part in the movie when a date conflict arose with a previously cast actor. This led to him playing the role of Prem in the film.
Upon his return to India, he started working as a cinematographer, shooting documentaries and TV serials (Rajdhani - Star TV, 2000). He was the curator of India's first ever digital film festival (the digital talkies festival) in 2001, and then wrote and directed Let's Enjoy (2004). He now lives in Mumbai, India, the capital of the Indian Film Industry.
