Biography
A multiple Karnataka State Film Award winner, S. Krishna is an Indian cinematographer, filmmaker, and producer who is best known for his work in Kannada cinema. Since his Sandalwood debut in the early aughts, Krishna has helmed the camera department in over twenty-five features, besides directing and producing a handful.
Some of his best-known works as a DOP include the musical romantic drama Mungaru Male (2006), Haage Summane (2008), the action film Kempe Gowda (2011), Kaddipudi (2013), and Chowka (2017). Of these, Krishna`s work in the former two films earned him the Karnataka State Film Award and Filmfare Award for Best Cinematography respectively.
In 2014, he made his directorial debut with the epic historical action film Gajakesari, which starred Yash in the lead role. This was followed by the Kiccha Sudeep starrers Hebbuli (2017) and Pailwaan (2019), the latter of which he also produced.
