Biography

Sofia Hublitz (born June 1, 2000) is an American actress who gained significant recognition for her role as Charlotte Byrde in the critically acclaimed Netflix crime drama series Ozark (2017–2022).

 

 

Early Life: Born in Richmond, Virginia, Sofia Hublitz was exposed to the world of film production from a young age due to her mother's work as a screen art director. Her family moved to New York City in 2007 when she was seven years old.

 

 

Career: Hublitz's initial foray into television was as a contestant on MasterChef Junior in 2013. Although she was eliminated after three episodes, she became popular with viewers. The following year, she landed her first acting role, playing Danielle Hoffman in two episodes of Louis C.K.'s series Louie. In 2016, she appeared as a young Sylvia in an episode of Horace and Pete.

 

 

Her breakthrough came in 2017 when she was cast as Charlotte Byrde, the teenage daughter of Marty (Jason Bateman) and Wendy Byrde (Laura Linney), in Ozark. Her portrayal of a teenager grappling with her family's criminal activities earned her praise and a nomination for the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series in 2023 (shared with the Ozark cast).

 

 

Since Ozark, Hublitz has continued to work in film and television. Her credits include the films What Breaks the Ice (2020) and Ida Red (2021). She also had a guest role in the 2025 miniseries Good American Family. Upcoming projects include the films Brain Freeze and Taxon.
