Sreenath Bhasi

Biography

Sreenath Bhasi is an Indian actor, playback singer, and producer who works predominantly in Malayalam cinema. Born on 29 May 1988 in Palluruthy, Kochi, Kerala, he began his career in media and music before establishing himself as an actor.

Early Life and Career

Before entering films, Sreenath Bhasi worked as a radio jockey and video jockey. He also developed an interest in music and was associated with bands, working as a vocalist. His musical background later became an important part of his career in the entertainment industry.

He made his film debut with Pranayam (2011). His early acting credits included 22 Female Kottayam, Ustad Hotel, Ayalum Njanum Thammil and Da Thadiya, all released in 2012. These films helped him establish himself as a promising young performer.

Acting Career

Sreenath went on to appear in a variety of Malayalam films, often portraying youthful, energetic, and emotionally complex characters. His notable films include Honey Bee (2013), North 24 Kaatham (2013), Jacobinte Swargarajyam (2016), Parava (2017), Kumbalangi Nights (2019), Virus (2019), Kappela (2020) and Trance (2020).

His performance in Kumbalangi Nights and his role in Kappela, in particular, demonstrated his ability to handle more layered and character-driven roles.

Major Recognition

Sreenath gained considerable popularity for his performance as Subhash in Manjummel Boys (2024). The survival drama became a major success and brought his work to a wider audience.
