Srikanth Deva is an Indian film music composer and singer who works primarily in Tamil cinema. He is known for composing music and background scores for Tamil films, particularly commercial entertainers, action dramas, and romantic films.

 

 

Early Life and Family

Srikanth Deva was born on 20 March 1973 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He comes from a prominent musical family. His father is veteran Tamil film composer Deva, while his uncle is well-known music composer Sabesh.

Growing up in a musical environment, Srikanth developed an early interest in music and learned various aspects of film composition and orchestration.

 

 

Career

Srikanth Deva made his debut as an independent film composer with Punnagai Poove (2003). He subsequently composed music for numerous Tamil films and became particularly active during the 2000s.

Some of his notable films include Thiruda Thirudi (2003), Gajendra (2004), Aai (2004), Bambara Kannaley (2005), Thiruvilaiyaadal Aarambam (2006), Azhagiya Tamil Magan (2007), Kuruvi (2008), Maasilamani (2009) and Vedi (2011).

His music often combines contemporary film arrangements with energetic folk and commercial elements, making his songs popular in mainstream Tamil cinema.
