Stephen Tenenbaum

Biography

Stephen Tenenbaum is an American film producer and manager best known for his long-running collaboration with filmmaker Woody Allen. He studied at New York University and has worked primarily as a producer on feature films.

Career

Tenenbaum became closely associated with Woody Allen's films, serving as an executive producer on projects such as The Curse of the Jade Scorpion (2001), Hollywood Ending (2002), Anything Else (2003), Melinda and Melinda (2004), Match Point (2005), and Scoop (2006).

He subsequently received producer credits on Cassandra's Dream (2007), Vicky Cristina Barcelona (2008), Whatever Works (2009), You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger (2010), and Midnight in Paris (2011). Midnight in Paris earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture as one of its producers.

Blue Jasmine

One of Tenenbaum's notable productions was Blue Jasmine, which he produced with Letty Aronson and Edward Walson. The film starred Cate Blanchett as Jasmine, a wealthy New York socialite whose life collapses before she moves to San Francisco to stay with her sister.

The film received widespread acclaim, particularly for Blanchett's performance, and Tenenbaum and Aronson were among the producers nominated for the Producers Guild of America Award for Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures.

Later Work

Tenenbaum continued producing Allen's films, including To Rome with Love (2012), Magic in the Moonlight (2014), Irrational Man (2015), Café Society (2016), and Wonder Wheel (2017).
