Biography
Sterling K. Brown is an American actor and producer, born on April 5, 1976, in St. Louis, Missouri. He graduated from Stanford University and later earned an MFA from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.
Brown began his television career with guest appearances in series such as ER, NYPD Blue, JAG, Supernatural, and The Good Wife. He later gained recognition as Dr. Roland Burton in Army Wives.
His breakthrough came with The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story (2016), in which he portrayed prosecutor Christopher Darden. His performance earned him a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or Movie.
Brown became especially famous for playing Randall Pearson in the NBC drama This Is Us (2016–2022). The role earned him a Primetime Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award, along with multiple nominations and major critical recognition.
His film credits include Black Panther, Marshall, Hotel Artemis, The Predator, Waves, and American Fiction, the latter earning him an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor. He has continued to work in television and film, including the series Paradise.
