Steve Dhillon
Biography
Steve Dhillon, born and raised in Canada, is an accomplished actor of Punjabi heritage who has made a mark in both Indian and North American cinema and theatre. He is best known for his work in Pehchaan 3D, which earned him a nomination for a BC Film Award (Leo) for Best Actor in a Feature Film in 2013—the first time a Punjabi actor was nominated for a full foreign-language film at the Leo Awards. The film itself was also nominated for Best Director and Best Feature Film.
Dhillon has continued to expand his filmography, including working with Oscar-nominated director Deepa Mehta in her crime thriller Beeba Boys. In addition to his acting career, he has a professional background as a licensed engineer and post-secondary instructor, and he continues to pursue these fields alongside his work in film and theatre.
