Steve Howey is an American actor best known for his dynamic performances in both television and film. Born on July 12, 1977, in San Antonio, Texas, Howey was raised in a family with creative roots — his father, Bill Howey, is an acting coach and director, which helped shape Steve’s early interest in performing arts.
Howey began his career in the late 1990s with guest roles on television, including appearances in Pacific Blue and ER. His breakout role came in 2001 when he was cast as Van Montgomery, the fun-loving yet endearing football player, on the popular sitcom Reba. The series ran for six successful seasons and established Howey as a talented comedic actor with strong on-screen charm.
Following Reba, Howey transitioned to more diverse roles, appearing in films such as Supercross (2005), DOA: Dead or Alive (2006), and Bride Wars (2009), where he showcased his versatility and natural comedic timing.
