Suhasini Mulay
Biography
Suhasini Mulay is a National Award-winning Indian film actress who works primarily in Bollywood. She made her acting debut at the age of 18, with Mrinal Sen`s Bhuvan Shome (1969). Since then, she has appeared in over 60 Hindi films and several television shows and has won a National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in Hu Tu Tu (1999).
Notable film credits include Lagaan (2001), Dil Chahta Hai (2001), Page 3 (2005), Jodhaa Akbar (2008), Mohenjo Daro (2016), Teen Aur Aadha (2018) and Basmati Blues (2018). Among her significant acting credits in television are the shows Virasaat, Mamta, Udaan, Everest, and Warrior High.
Besides acting, Suhasini has also had a stint as an assistant director, working with directors like Satyajit Ray and Mrinal Sen in the mid-1970s. She has also produced numerous documentaries and has won four National Awards as a producer. Her 2019 release includes Panipat.
