Biography

Suniel Anand (also spelled Suneil Anand) is an Indian actor, producer, and businessman best known as the son of legendary actor and filmmaker Dev Anand and actress Kalpana Kartik. Although he appeared in only a few films, he has remained associated with the Anand family's legacy and the Navketan Films banner.

Early Life

Suneil Anand was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, to Dev Anand and Kalpana Kartik. Growing up in one of Bollywood's most celebrated film families, he was exposed to the world of cinema from an early age. He is also the nephew of acclaimed filmmakers Chetan Anand and Vijay Anand.

Career

Suneil Anand made his acting debut with Anand Aur Anand (1984), a romantic drama directed by Dev Anand. The film marked the first and only on-screen collaboration between father and son. Despite attracting considerable attention due to his famous lineage, the film did not achieve major commercial success.

He later appeared in Car Thief (1986), another film produced under the Navketan Films banner. Although he showed promise as an actor, he did not pursue a long-term acting career and gradually stepped away from the spotlight.

Apart from acting, Suneil Anand has been involved in managing aspects of the Anand family's film legacy and business interests, including activities related to Navketan Films.

Personal Life

Unlike many members of his family, Suneil Anand has maintained a private life away from the media. He has focused primarily on personal and business pursuits rather than continuing an extensive career in front of the camera.
