Sunitha Tati
Biography
Sunitha is a dynamic and passionate film producer with over two decades of extensive experience across Indian cinema, television, and radio. She has worked with leading organizations, including Suresh Productions of Ramanaidu Studios, TV9, Radio Mirchi of the Times of India Group, and Mirchi Movies.
A business graduate with a postgraduate degree in Film Making from New York University, Sunitha began her career with groundbreaking films like Hyderabad Blues (1998) by Nagesh Kukunoor and Dollar Dreams (2000) by Sekhar Kammula, serving as Executive Producer for the latter, which went on to win a National Award in 1998.
Returning to India, she explored regional cinema markets and joined Ramanaidu Studios under acclaimed producer Suresh Babu as his Chief Assistant. During her four-year tenure, she contributed to eight films in Telugu and Hindi, mastering the entire filmmaking process—from story development and scriptwriting to casting, budgeting, scheduling, and production management.
With her own production house, Guru Films Private Limited, Sunitha has produced numerous successful South Indian films, including Oh Baby! (2019), Sahasam Swasaga Sagipo (2016), Accham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada (2016), Courier Boy Kalyan (2015), and Bangaru Kodi Petta (2014). She has also produced critically acclaimed Hindi films, such as Shor in the City (2011).
