Supratik Sen
Biography
Supratik has received several awards for his work, including the Filmfare Award for Best Screenplay and the Zee Cine Award for Best Story for the film Karwaan. He also co-wrote the critically acclaimed film Parched with director Leena Yadav, which earned them a nomination at the Asia Pacific Screen Awards.
Recently, he co-wrote the film Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Vaani Kapoor. The story follows a bodybuilder from Chandigarh who falls in love with a trans woman. The film is currently available on Netflix and was well-appreciated by audiences. It also won the Filmfare Award for Best Original Story and the Screenwriters Association Award for Best Story.
His latest film, Sharmaji Namkeen, starring the late Rishi Kapoor, is now streaming on Amazon Prime. He co-wrote it with director Hitesh Bhatia, and it was produced by Excel Entertainment. At present, Supratik is working independently on an original series and is also collaborating with Abhishek Kapoor on his upcoming feature film.
