Susan Kelechi Watson is an American actress, producer, and writer, born in Brooklyn, New York. She earned a BFA from Howard University and an MFA from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.
Watson began her screen career with appearances in series such as Hack, The Jury, Third Watch, NCIS, and The Following. She gained wider recognition for her recurring role as Janet on Louie and later appeared in The Blacklist, Billions, Blue Bloods, and Divorce.
Her breakthrough came with This Is Us, in which she played Beth Pearson, Randall Pearson's wife, from 2016 to 2022. Her performance earned critical recognition and ensemble awards alongside the cast.
