Career Highlights
Tanuja Chandra began her career in 1995 with the television series Zameen Aasmaan, starring Tanvi Azmi. She gained recognition in the film industry by co-writing the screenplay for Yash Chopra’s Dil To Pagal Hai (1997), which was a commercial success.
Her directorial debut was with the film Dushman (1998), followed by Sangharsh (1999), both of which were produced by Mahesh Bhatt.
Chandra is known for making women-centric films. She directed various films including Zindaggi Rocks (2006), Hope and a Little Sugar (2008), and Qarib Qarib Singlle (2017).
In 2022, she directed the Amazon Prime Video series Hush Hush, marking her return to the digital space.
