Biography
Anil Teja Nidamanuru, born on August 22, 1994, in Vijayawada, India, is an Indian-born Dutch cricketer who represents the Netherlands national team. He is a right-handed middle-order batsman and can bowl right-arm off-spin.
Nidamanuru's journey took him to New Zealand, where he played domestic cricket for Auckland from 2017 to 2019. He made his Twenty20 debut for Auckland in the 2017–18 Super Smash on December 13, 2017, and his List A debut for the same team in the 2018–19 Ford Trophy on November 14, 2018.
In 2019, Nidamanuru moved to the Netherlands. He initially worked as a player-coach at Kampong Cricket Club in Utrecht and later played for Punjab Rotterdam and VRA Amsterdam. His consistent performances in the Dutch domestic circuit caught the attention of the national selectors.
Nidamanuru received his first call-up to the Dutch national side in May 2022 for their One Day International (ODI) series against the West Indies. He made his ODI debut on May 31, 2022, and scored a notable 58 runs. His Twenty20 International (T20I) debut followed on July 11, 2022, against Papua New Guinea during the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Global Qualifier B tournament in Zimbabwe.
A significant moment in his career came in March 2023 when he scored his maiden ODI century against Zimbabwe, an unbeaten 110 off 96 balls, which helped the Netherlands secure a three-wicket victory. He was also part of the Netherlands squad for the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup.
As of May 10, 2025, Teja Nidamanuru has played 35 ODIs, scoring 775 runs with two centuries and three half-centuries. His highest ODI score is 111. In 18 T20Is, he has scored 150 runs. He has also taken a few wickets with his part-time off-spin in both formats.
Nidamanuru was also part of the Netherlands squad for the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup.
