Thamar K.V.
Biography
Thamar K.V. is an Indian film director, screenwriter and producer who works primarily in Malayalam cinema. He began his filmmaking career through advertising and later moved into feature films.
He made his feature-film directorial debut with 1001 Nunakal (2022), a Malayalam relationship drama that he co-wrote with Hashim Sulaiman. The film premiered at the 27th International Film Festival of Kerala and was later released on SonyLIV.
Thamar K.V. subsequently directed Sarkeet (2025) along with Hashim Sulaiman. He also wrote the screenplay. Starring Asif Ali, Divya Prabha and Alexander Prasanth, the film follows a couple struggling with work, marriage and parenting before an unexpected encounter changes their lives.
He also directed Dolby Dineshan (2025), a Malayalam film starring Nivin Pauly, with the screenplay written by Fasil Muhammed.
