Biography
Tina Ambani, born Tina Munim on 11 February 1957 in Mumbai, India, is a former Indian actress and philanthropist. She completed her schooling at MM Pupils Own School and graduated in Arts from Jai Hind College, Mumbai.
In 1975, she won the Femina Teen Princess India title and represented India at the International Teen Princess contest, where she was the second runner-up.
She married Anil Ambani, chairman of the Reliance ADA Group, in 1991. The couple has two sons, Jai Anmol and Jai Anshul Ambani.
Film Career
Tina Ambani began her film career with Des Pardes (1978), directed by Dev Anand. She quickly rose to fame for her charm and acting talent. Over the next decade, she appeared in several successful Hindi films, often alongside top stars of the time.
Some of her notable films include Baaton Baaton Mein, Karz, Lootmaar, Yeh Vaada Raha, Souten, Bewafai, and Rajput.
Her final screen appearance was in Jigarwala (1991), after which she retired from acting.
Post-Film Career & Philanthropy
After leaving the film industry, Tina Ambani dedicated herself to social causes, art, and community service.
She founded the Harmony Art Foundation, which promotes Indian contemporary art and provides a platform for emerging artists.
Her concern for the elderly led to the creation of the Harmony for Silvers Foundation in 2004, an organization committed to improving the quality of life for senior citizens.
Tina Ambani also serves as the Chairperson of the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and Medical Research Institute in Mumbai. Under her leadership, the hospital has become one of India’s premier healthcare institutions, known for its commitment to excellence and patient care.
