Tom Hollander is an English actor known for his work in film, television, and theatre. He is recognized for his versatile performances in dramas, comedies, historical productions, and major Hollywood films.

 

 

Early Life

Thomas Anthony Hollander was born on August 25, 1967, in Bristol, England. He developed an interest in acting while young and became involved in theatre before establishing a professional screen career.

 

 

Career

Hollander gained recognition through British television and film, appearing in productions such as Gosford Park (2001), Pride & Prejudice (2005), In the Loop (2009), and The King's Man (2021).

He became internationally known for playing Lord Cutler Beckett in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (2006) and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (2007). He later appeared in films including The Soloist (2009), The Libertine (2004), About Time (2013), Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation (2015), and Bohemian Rhapsody (2018).

In The Soloist, Hollander appeared alongside Jamie Foxx, Robert Downey Jr., and Catherine Keener in the drama about journalist Steve Lopez and musician Nathaniel Ayers.
