Biography
Tom Hopper, born 28 January 1985 in Coalville, Leicestershire, England, is a British actor who studied acting at Rose Bruford College, graduating in 2006. He began his screen career with appearances in Casualty, Doctors, Kingdom, and Doctor Who.
Hopper gained recognition as Sir Percival in the BBC fantasy series Merlin (2010–2012). He later played Billy Bones in the pirate drama Black Sails (2014–2017) and Dickon Tarly in Game of Thrones (2017).
His biggest international breakthrough came with Netflix's The Umbrella Academy (2019–2024), in which he portrayed Luther Hargreeves / Number One, one of seven superpowered adopted siblings who reunite after their father's death.
His film credits include Tormented (2009), Northmen: A Viking Saga (2014), I Feel Pretty (2018), Terminator: Dark Fate (2019), SAS: Red Notice (2021), Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard (2021), Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City (2021), Love in the Villa (2022), and Space Cadet (2024).
More recently, Hopper starred as Raife Hastings in The Terminal List: Dark Wolf (2025), expanding his work into another action-thriller franchise.
