Torin Borrowdale
Biography
Torin Borrowdale is an American film, television, and video-game composer known for creating atmospheric and emotionally driven scores. He studied film scoring at the University of Southern California and has worked across feature films, television series, and games.
Borrowdale is best known for composing the original score for Netflix's Locke & Key (2020–2022), developing musical themes for its characters and supernatural world. He also composed the music for Searching (2018), Run (2020), and Apple TV+'s Five Days at Memorial (2022).
His other credits include The Toll, The Fare, The Midnight Man, and the video games Alto's Adventure, Alto's Odyssey, and Where Cards Fall. He later received an Emmy nomination for his score for Disney+'s Descendants: The Rise of Red (2024).
Borrowdale's music is particularly noted for combining orchestral themes with atmospheric and suspenseful elements, making him a prominent composer in contemporary fantasy, thriller, and dramatic productions.
