Biography

T. Trivikrama Rao was a celebrated Indian film producer, known for his significant contributions to Telugu cinema. He produced numerous successful films under his banner, Vijayalakshmi Art Pictures. Some of his notable productions include Justice Chowdary (1982), Gudachari No. 1 (1983), Donga (1985), Kondaveeti Donga (1990), Jamai Raja (1990), Rowdy Inspector (1992), Bobbili Simham (1994), Sarada Bullodu (1996), Aahwanam (1997), and Badri (2000).

 

 Throughout his career, he collaborated with some of Telugu cinema’s biggest stars, including N. T. Rama Rao, Krishna, Krishnam Raju, Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna, Venkatesh, and Pawan Kalyan.

 

 

Early Life
Trivikrama Rao was born in Palakonda, in the Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh. He had a family of three daughters and a son.

 

 

Career Highlights
He was instrumental in shaping the careers of many actors and filmmakers. Notably, he introduced director Puri Jagannadh to the industry through the film Badri (2000). Impressed by Puri’s speed and efficiency during production, Trivikrama Rao famously predicted that he would go on to direct fifty films—a prediction Puri Jagannadh often recalls.

 

 

Death
Trivikrama Rao passed away on December 3, 2008, due to a heart attack at a private hospital in Hyderabad, leaving behind a legacy of memorable films and contributions to Telugu cinema.
