Biography
Udayaraj, now known as Udhaya Deep, is an Indian actor who gained fame as a child artist, particularly for his role in the 2001 television film Nila Kaalam. His performance as Pulli in the film earned him widespread recognition and critical acclaim, with The Hindu praising his natural acting style. He won the National Film Award for Best Child Artist for his portrayal of Nila Kaalam.
Udayaraj continued his career with roles in films like Thiruda Thirudi (2003) and Thirumalai (2003), where he appeared alongside popular actors. He also played the titular character in the Malayalam film Oliver Twist (2007). His transition to adult roles began with his debut in Baana Kaathadi (2010), where he played one of the lead characters.
Following this, Udayaraj worked behind the scenes as an assistant director on the popular TV show Kalakka Povathu Yaaru on STAR Vijay. He later starred in the low-budget film Vandha Mala and is also set to appear in an upcoming film with actor Ram Nishanth.
On the personal front, Udayaraj married Janani Nivitha in May 2018, and they have a daughter together.
