Biography

Udhayanidhi Stalin is an Indian actor, producer, and politician, predominantly active in Tamil cinema. Born on November 27, 1977, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, Udhayanidhi is the son of M. K. Stalin, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, and the grandson of the late M. Karunanidhi, a prominent politician and leader of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK). Udhayanidhi grew up in a politically influential family and pursued his education in Chennai. He later ventured into the entertainment industry, balancing both his career in cinema and his political aspirations.

Career: Udhayanidhi Stalin made his acting debut in 2012 with the Tamil film Oru Kal Oru Kannadi, directed by M. Rajesh. The film, a romantic comedy, was well-received by audiences and critics, marking a successful entry for Udhayanidhi in the Tamil film industry. His natural screen presence and comic timing earned him recognition as an emerging actor.

Following his debut, Udhayanidhi starred in several other films, including Idhu Kathirvelan Kaadhal (2014), Nanbenda (2015), and Saravanan Irukka Bayamaen (2017). While some of these films met with moderate success, others didn't perform as expected at the box office. In 2021, Udhayanidhi contested and won the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly elections from the Chepauk-Triplicane constituency, further solidifying his political journey.
