Unni Mukundan

Biography

Unni Mukundan is an Indian actor and producer primarily known for his work in Malayalam cinema. He made his feature-film debut with the Tamil film Seedan (2011) and has since appeared in more than 35 films across Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu cinema.

He gained popularity among Malayalam audiences with films such as Mallu Singh (2012), Thattsamayam Oru Penkutty (2012), and Vikramadithyan (2014). His performance in Bombay March 12 (2011) earned him the SIIMA Award for Best Male Debut in Malayalam.

Mukundan expanded his presence into Telugu cinema with Janatha Garage (2016), in which he played the principal antagonist opposite Jr. NTR and Mohanlal. He later appeared in the Telugu horror thriller Bhaagamathie (2018).

His other notable films include the romantic comedy KL 10 Patthu (2015), the action thriller Masterpiece (2017), Mikhael (2019), My Great Grandfather (2019), 18 am Padi (2019), and the historical action film Mamangam (2019).

Known for his versatility, physical screen presence, and performances in action-oriented roles, Unni Mukundan has established himself as a prominent contemporary actor in Malayalam cinema while also working in other South Indian film industries.
