Veeru Devgan (1934–2019) was a prominent figure in Indian cinema, best known for his groundbreaking work as an action director and choreographer. Born in Amritsar, Punjab, he later moved to Mumbai, where he carved a niche for himself in Bollywood with his innovative stunt sequences and dynamic action choreography.

Veeru Devgan’s career spanned several decades, during which he worked on over 80 films. He was renowned for designing memorable action sequences that combined realism with cinematic flair. Some of his most celebrated works include Inquilaab (1984), Jaani Dushman (1979), and Rakhwala (1971). In addition to action choreography, Veeru Devgan also ventured into film direction, notably with Hindustan Ki Kasam (1999), starring his son, the famous Bollywood actor Ajay Devgan.
