Biography
Venky AV is an Indian filmmaker, writer, and creative director known for his work across advertising, music videos, promotional films, short-form cinema, and digital series. He has built a diverse portfolio that combines commercial filmmaking with narrative storytelling.
He served as the writer and creative director of Bhanwar, a film produced by Applause Entertainment as part of the anthology series Zindaginama, which streams on Sony LIV. The project explores mental health and emotional struggles through a contemporary narrative.
Venky has directed advertising films for prominent brands including Google, HDFC Bank, OnePlus, Kia, Mahindra Finance, and Amazon Prime Video, among others. His work in advertising has allowed him to develop a visual style that combines concise storytelling with strong character-driven narratives.
He has also directed a mini-series for Hindustan Times Brand Studio, which received a Bronze award at the Abby One Show 2023. His short-format films have been recognized on the festival circuit, including a Best Film award at the Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival and a Filmfare nomination.
