Venu Sriram is an Indian film director and screenwriter known for his work in the Telugu film industry. He began his journey in cinema with a passion for storytelling and an eye for emotionally engaging narratives. Before becoming a director, he worked as an assistant and associate in several film projects, gradually learning the craft of filmmaking.

 

 

Career

Venu Sriram made his directorial debut with Oh My Friend (2011), a youthful romantic drama starring Siddharth, Shruti Haasan, and Hansika Motwani. The film explored friendship, love, and emotional boundaries, marking him as a promising new voice in Telugu cinema.

 

After a brief hiatus, he returned with MCA (Middle Class Abbayi) in 2017, featuring Nani and Sai Pallavi. The film was a commercial success and showcased Venu Sriram’s ability to blend family sentiment with mass appeal.

 

 

His most acclaimed work came with Vakeel Saab (2021), starring Pawan Kalyan. The film, a remake of the Hindi movie Pink, addressed issues of consent and women’s rights, earning both critical appreciation and box office success.
