Victor Rasuk

Biography

Victor Rasuk is an American actor born on January 15, 1984, in New York City. Of Dominican heritage, he grew up in Manhattan and developed an interest in acting at a young age. He attended a performing arts school and began acting professionally as a teenager.

 

Rasuk made an early breakthrough with the short film Five Feet High and Rising (2000), directed by Peter Sollett. The project was later expanded into the feature film Raising Victor Vargas (2002), in which Rasuk reprised his role as Victor Vargas. His performance earned him an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Debut Performance.

 

He went on to appear in films such as Haven (2004), Lords of Dogtown (2005), Stop-Loss (2008), Being Flynn (2012), Jobs (2013), and Godzilla (2014). He also played José Rodriguez in Fifty Shades of Grey (2015) and reprised the role in Fifty Shades Darker (2017) and Fifty Shades Freed (2018).

 

On television, Rasuk became known for playing Cameron “Cam” Calderon in HBO's How to Make It in America. He later starred as Detective Ben Caldwell in Stalker and appeared in series including Colony, Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan, The Baker and the Beauty, and Reasonable Doubt.

 

Among his notable performances, his portrayal of skateboarder Tony Alva in Lords of Dogtown demonstrated his commitment to physically demanding roles. Rasuk trained extensively for the part and performed many of his own skateboarding activities during production.

 

With a career spanning film and television, Victor Rasuk has established himself as a versatile actor known for working across drama, comedy, action, and romantic productions.
