Biography
Vijay Arora (27 December 1944 – 2 February 2007) was an Indian actor who worked in Hindi films and television. Known for his charming screen presence and versatile performances, he appeared in more than 100 films and later gained immense popularity on television.
Born in Amritsar, Punjab, British India (now in India), Vijay Arora graduated from the Film and Television Institute of India. He made his film debut with Zaroorat and rose to fame with Yaadon Ki Baaraat, in which he played the romantic lead opposite Zeenat Aman.
Throughout his film career, Vijay Arora appeared in numerous Hindi films, including Roti, Sargam, Gautam Govinda, Aakhri Insaaf, Souten, and Purana Mandir. He worked with many leading actors, including Rajesh Khanna, Dharmendra, Jeetendra, and Rishi Kapoor.
Vijay Arora also enjoyed a successful television career. He is especially remembered for portraying Meghnad (Indrajit) in Ramayan, a role that earned him widespread recognition among television audiences.
He passed away on 2 February 2007 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, after battling stomach cancer. Vijay Arora is remembered as a talented actor whose contributions to both Hindi cinema and Indian television continue to be appreciated.
