Vijay Karthik Kannan
Biography
Vijay Kartik Kannan is an Indian cinematographer primarily associated with the Tamil film industry. He gained prominence for his work in the Tamil film Jailer (2023).
Personal Life
On March 16, 2022, Vijay married Yamini Yagnamurthy, a fellow cinematographer, after being in a relationship for several years.
Career
Vijay began his career with the Tamil horror film Darling 2 (2016). In 2018, Sivakarthikeyan approached him to work on Kanaa, his first production venture, but Vijay had to decline due to concerns about meeting the tight deadlines. However, he later collaborated with Sivakarthikeyan as the cinematographer for Doctor (2021), directed by Nelson.
In 2019, Vijay worked on Aadai, directed by his longtime friend Rathna Kumar, and also handled the cinematography for Vijay Sethupathi’s Sindhubaadh the same year.
