Vijender Reddy Teegala

Biography

Dr. Vijender Reddy Teegala is a notable figure in India, particularly recognized for his contributions to education, healthcare, and, more recently, film production. Born in Hyderabad, Telangana, Dr. Reddy pursued an extensive education in medicine, earning his MBBS and MS (Orthopedics) from the University of Mysore, followed by a specialized MCh in Orthopedics from the University of Dundee in the UK. 

This background positioned him as an accomplished orthopedic surgeon, specializing in joint replacements, with a history of clinical leadership at major hospitals including KIMS and Apollo Hospitals in Hyderabad.

In the education sector, Dr. Reddy has made significant strides as the Chairman of Vardhaman College of Engineering in Hyderabad. His 15-year tenure has seen the institution achieve considerable recognition for its quality in education, infrastructure, and overall student experience. 

The college has received UGC Autonomous status and high NAAC and NBA accreditations, distinguishing it as a premier engineering institution in Hyderabad. Dr. Reddy’s educational philosophy is grounded in fostering both advanced technical knowledge and personal discipline among students​

Dr. Reddy's entrepreneurial interests extend into the film industry as well. He made his debut as a producer with the 2023 Telugu film Hi Nanna, directed by Shouryuv, marking his entry into Tollywood with a focus on quality storytelling. 

His interest in cinema continues with upcoming projects, including the anticipated 2024 release Matka, directed by Karuna Kumar. His involvement in film demonstrates a commitment to diverse ventures that bridge his established areas of expertise with new creative fields​.

Dr. Reddy resides in Hyderabad with his wife, Deepthi, and their daughter, Adithi, actively engaging in community and social causes and maintaining memberships in organizations such as Hyderabad Angels, where he supports startups in the healthcare and education sectors.
