Biography

Vikash Verma is an Indian filmmaker, producer, and entrepreneur known for his work in promoting Indo-Polish cinematic collaborations. Born and raised in Mumbai, he pursued a science education before developing a strong interest in filmmaking and the entertainment industry

 

 

Verma began learning the craft of cinema at a young age and reportedly worked under veteran filmmaker Rajkumar Kohli, who influenced his creative journey. Apart from filmmaking, he has also been associated with the security industry and business ventures through the G7 Group.

 

 

His career in films includes acting, production, and direction. He appeared in the film Padmashree Laloo Prasad Yadav and later moved into filmmaking on a larger scale. Vikash Verma gained attention for directing No Means No, regarded as one of the first Indo-Polish film collaborations, reflecting his interest in strengthening cultural ties between India and Poland.

 

 

He further expanded his international vision with The Good Maharaja, a historical war drama based on the life of Maharaja Digvijaysinhji Ranjitsinhji Jadeja of Nawanagar, who sheltered Polish children during World War II. The film stars Sanjay Dutt in the lead role and highlights Verma’s focus on stories rooted in history, humanity, and cross-cultural connections.

 

 

Over the years, Vikash Verma has built a reputation as a filmmaker interested in international collaborations and socially significant stories, combining cinema with cultural diplomacy and large-scale storytelling.
