Early Life and Background
Singh's journey to international cricket is rooted in a rich family history. His grandfather, Khushi Cheema, fled to the Netherlands following the 1984 anti-Sikh riots in India. The family moved between India and the Netherlands before settling permanently in the Netherlands when Vikramjit was seven years old. His cricketing talent was recognized early, and he received private coaching from former Netherlands captain Peter Borren and Indian cricketer Amit Uniyal.
