Vineeth Sreenivasan
Biography
Vineeth Sreenivasan is an Indian film director, actor, playback singer, screenwriter and lyricist who works predominantly in Malayalam cinema. He is the son of veteran actor and screenwriter Sreenivasan.
Vineeth began his career as a playback singer and gained popularity with songs such as “Kasavinte Thattamittu” from Kilichundan Mampazham (2003). He later established himself as a filmmaker and actor.
He made his directorial debut with Malarvaadi Arts Club (2010), a coming-of-age comedy featuring a group of young friends. He went on to direct successful films including Thattathin Marayathu (2012), Thira (2013), Jacobinte Swargarajyam (2016), Hridayam (2022) and Varshangalkku Shesham (2024).
As an actor, Vineeth has appeared in films such as Cycle (2008), Makante Achan (2009), Oru Vadakkan Selfie (2015), Aravindante Athidhikal (2018), Hridayam (2022) and Varshangalkku Shesham (2024).
He is also known for his work as a lyricist and playback singer, contributing songs to numerous Malayalam films. His directorial Hridayam became particularly popular for its music, youthful storytelling and emotional portrayal of relationships.
